Application and Registration Procedure

 

  • Application is limited to graduate students (currently enrolled in Master or PhD programs).
  • There is NO registration fee.
  • Since the number of possible attendants is limited to 50, a committee will select the most qualified participants.
  • Funding for travel support of some qualified students will be available.
  • February 1st, 2010, applications due.
  • March 2010, applicants informed of acceptance.

containing four files, preferably included in a single zip file:

  1. A plain text file including the following information                                                                                 

    First Name:
    Last Name:
    Institution:
    Email:
    Do you need financial support? (YES/NO? how much? travel funds? local expenses?)
  1. A brief (2 or 3 pages) Curriculum Vitae in English (a pdf file is preferred). Include your undergraduate title and date of graduation, and a list of graduate courses taken (with grades).

  2. A short presentation letter in English explaining the interest of the candidate to attend the School (a pdf file is preferred).

  3. At least one letter of recommendation (a pdf file is preferred) from her/his advisor, or some other professors, should be sent by e-mail

Travel and accomodation information will appear in this web page. It will also be sent to the accepted candidates.

 

Students attending the school should note that the Sixteenth Conference of the International Linear Algebra Society, takes place in Pisa, the week after the school: 21-25 June 2010.
ILAS will wave registration fees to ISSNLA students, and may have funds to partially support the attendance of ISSNLA students, especially if a contributed talk is presented.
